Shared value creation
The sustainable solutions of UnipolSai, as described in the Unipol Group’s Strategy are effective and reliable responses to new social, economic and relational needs. Protection and safety needs, such as social security and health needs. Additional coverage needs with respect to a progressive reduction in forms of public welfare.
Furthermore, the very nature of the insurance business, protecting people and businesses from risks, is a social protection instrument for the long-term safety and well-being of people and their assets. Insurance is one of the principal ways in which UnipolSai limits the impacts of climate risks and mitigates climate-related damage. The higher the level of a country’s insurance coverage, the more resilient will that country be to extreme natural events. Especially following an extreme weather event such as a flood, insurance reimbursements are often a quick and reliable solution to help victims recover quickly, preventing them from falling into poverty or from worsening their conditions.
Our commitment is also focused on the design of value-added services for a safer mobility thanks to the use of telematics, which allows claims to be handled more quickly and effectively for the benefit of the company, the customers (for example greater security and assistance and per-kilometre rates) and the community (e.g. countering fraud).
Our ability to produce value is first and foremost the ability to meet these needs by creating value for the company and its stakeholders.
