Climate governance
Governance of the risks and opportunities linked to climate
Governance of the risks and opportunities linked to climate for the Unipol Group form part of a broader governance framework of risks and opportunities linked to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) factors.
The ESG factors were integrated into the Group Policy system to ensure that adequate care is taken of the risks connected to the ESG factors (including climate change) in key corporate processes (especially underwriting, investments, real estate actions and supply chain management), that roles and responsibilities are identified for the identification, evaluation and management of said risks and that the organisation is capable of availing of any opportunities.
In accordance with the recommendations of the task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the organisation of the Unipol Group governance model with specific regard to the risks and opportunities linked to climate are set out in detail in the report “Unipol and climate change” specifically dedicated to reporting on climate-related information.
