The impact of climate change and adaptation policies

The growing impact of extreme meteorological phenomena in different areas of the globe has focused the attention of the scientific community and the media on climate change.

The economic, social and environmental damage caused by global warming is increasingly evident and could worsen in the future, particularly in urban areas, which are responsible for the majority of climate-altering emissions.

For this reason it is increasingly necessary that we dedicate specific attention to cities as part of our adaptation strategies. This conference will be an opportunity to take stock of the impact of climate change in Italy and discuss the urgent need for new political approaches to the issue.

Studies and research on the impact of climate change in urban areas will be presented, and representatives from the world of research and the institutions will be in attendance.
