Fondiaria-sai S.p.A.: 2010 tax redemption of goodwill

Fondiaria-Sai announces that the Board of Directors in a meeting chaired today by Ms. Jonella Ligresti approved the tax redemption under Legislative Decree No. 98/2011 of part of the goodwill recognised in the 2010 Consolidated Financial Statements against Group consolidated investments. A total amount of approx. Euro 636 million is redeemable, resulting in an immediate payment of approx. Euro 102 million and tax savings of approx. Euro 218 million. The Adjusted Solvency Margin will increase therefore by approx. 5.3%.
